Release Date Pushed Back Nov. 17, 2001
From www.theprp.com:

The Queens Of The Stone Age recently tracked three songs with Gene Ween of Ween for their forthcoming new album "Songs For The Deaf". The songs which were worked on include:
"Six Shooter"
"I'm Gonna Leave"
"Mosquito Song"
Other known tentative track titles for the album, which is currently being recorded in Hollywood, CA with producer Eric Valentine (Snake River Conspiracy, Smash Mouth), include:
"Songs For The Dead"
"Little Sister"
"Go With The Flow"
The effort is expected out around May / June through Interscope and will also feature a guest appearance from Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. Meanwhile, recent rumors suggest that Fu Manchu drummer Brant Bjork has left Fu Manchu and joined Queens Of The Stone Age, firming up the bands lineup which was also recently bolstered by Mark Lanegan, formerly of the Screaming Trees.

[thanks to Dave]
