QOTSA's first live appearence is believed to be on July 24, 1998 at The Casbah in San Diego, CA. A recording of the second show (July 25, 1998) exists, and though no one mentions the date on the recording, the banter, the way that some songs, such as Born to Hula, were played, and the fact that it was taped at a club in another California town, make it safe to assume that, pending further information, the first show took place the night before in San Diego.
