queens finally hit hollywood again on oct 4 2002 at the palladium. oh the palladium... why the palladium? we will get to that later. peaches opened up the show-- three words describe peaches-- "what the fuck?" picture 80's metal chicks rapping over tired beats. next was trail of the dead. these boys tried hard but what can you say, everyone was waiting for the queens show. queens finally came on, and i must say it was a relief. the energy level was high but the acoustics weren't. i'm sorry, but something about having a rock concert in an abandoned ballroom just doesn't cut it. despite this downfall, queens were putting everything into it. we had a unique vantage point from balcony stage left, and from here you could see Homme lurching about the stage in all of his lanky glory. sound sucked, but it was the queens so what can you say? they were rocking.
